Sheila finished:

Flutter-by Socks by Shannon Robalino in Snitches Bebop Sock (discontinued) in the Clarice colorway

Ballband Dishcloths in scrap cotton (two!)

Whirlwind Romance:

Wendy finished with her Loop Bullseye Batt in Strobe.  She is currently spinning a gradient set from The Spun Monkey in Starry Night.  She has tested a prototype bobbin for Akerworks that is compatible with the WooLee Winder for Schacht wheels.

Review:  Based on my plying and spinning experience, the Akerworks bobbin actually seems to pack on more fiber and work more efficiently than the bobbins made by WooLee Winder.  I am totally surprised! I also love that they pack flat and that the openwork ends allow me to see how full the bobbin is getting while I spin.  I am definitely going to be purchasing more of these bobbins to go on my Sidekick.

Future Dates:

Wendy is going to cast on socks and some kind of shawl for MDSW knitting.

Sheila needs to work on Color Affection and perhaps knit worsted weight socks for her supervisor.

Baubles & Bling:

Wendy and Sheila purchased:

Socks That Rock mediumweight in "It's A Collection, Not An Obsession."  A group of friends are knitting socks in this colorway to wear on Saturday at Rhinebeck 2015 and we'd love to see how many people we can get to join the trend!

Wendy purchased:

Stitched by Jessalu notions pouches

Fiber Stash fingering weight Twinkletoes yarn

Wendy received:

Knittingsmybag Star Trek themed bag and notions pouch!

A Gnome from Going Gnome

Gossip & Innuendo:

BOOK REVIEW:  Defarge Does Shakespeare

This book imagines what Madame Defarge would knit if inspired by Shakespeare.  This is a beautifully photographed book with tons of patterns.  There is an experience level assigned to each pattern so that you can determine how difficult it would be.  One of the best things about this book is the sheer breadth of the types of patterns shown.  There are the usual socks, shawls, gloves/mittens and sweaters, but there is also a darling tea cozy pattern, as well as some necklaces and collars, a book mark and even a felted bowl.  There are also two cute patterns for kids!  This book will definitely have something for every knitter, and the text alongside each pattern describing the inspiration is fun to read.

We will be giving away a copy of this awesome PDF book in Episode 206.  Tell us in the contest thread which pattern is your favorite!
