Love that you're doing inspirational sayings at the end of the podcasts this year! It's good to keep everything in perspective. :)

Loved the show, as always. I really related to this one: I was also born with a congenital heart malformation, and I had major heart surgery at 10 and I too celebrate my "heart day" every year. Sometimes I do it with others and sometimes I do it privately, but I always take time to remember that without that big (traumatic perhaps) day, I probably wouldn't be here and I certainly wouldn't be doing as well as I am now.
As for being thankful for what we have instead of what we don't have, I decided to blog every day in 2012 and say what I am thankful for that day: http://iknityou.blogspot.com/ It has made me stop and smell the roses, so to speak, instead of going to bed frustrated or thankless. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's a bit harder, but once I have sat down and thought about what I am thankful for I'm always in a better place.

Love your podcast. Yours is my favorite 2-person podcast. I thoroughly enjoy the banter. I also do enjoy the list of things that shouldn't do to your self that you've been talking about lately. Thanks for the podcast!

Greetings from the crazy lady in yellow at Rhinebeck (the one from Cincinnati in the line at Fiber Optics).

If you draw my name for the book , please pass me by. I'm just commenting here to let you know how much I loved this podcast. I laughed and teared up and felt all warm and fuzzy -- all at once. I look forward each week to your podcasts. You two just make me happy!

Thanks!

I LOVE watching your podcast! I love the humor!! I look forward to watching you every week.
I had a personal connection to the inspirational quotes this week - almost two years ago I was laid off from my job. At first I freaked out! Then I discovered I was pregnant with my second child! Getting laid off allowed me to finish my Master's Degree full time without the added exhaustion from working and being pregnant. It was and still is hard (teaching jobs are few and far between here in RI) but the time I get to spend with my kids is something I wouldn't have been able to do if I'd been working! Everything does happen for a reason!

(and YES! it is a good thing that you remind me of my aunts - they are the funniest and strongest women I know!)
