Episode 5.5 - Our Craptastic Weeks

The bloggy, non-knitting portion of Episode 5, where Wendy discusses her craptastic week and Sheila talks about hers and the challenge of raising a child with a chronic illness

No real show notes on this.  Sorry for the long rant.

I think every mum can relate to your week Wendy. I know I dont like the vomiting germs that go around school, and then I eventually end up with. Sheila you amaze me with what you go through, and your son sounds like an amazing little boy to go through what he has so far. I do hope that you find an answer to his swelling so you can at least relax a little bit about his health. I have to say that my 2 twin nephews have adorable eyelashes too, so jealous as mine are blonde so it looks like I dont have any. I do hope your weeks improve XXXXXXX

Sue he really is. This swollen joint issue is really bothering us. But otherwise he is good. Thank you for your lovely comments

Thanks, Sue! My week got markedly better when I tendered my resignation to the PTO - one less stressor in my life - so the week is ending on a high note.

I enjoyed hearing about your "craptastic" week so feel free to share. I enjoy the knitting podcast but as I get to "know" you, I care about the non-knitting part as well.

Oh, and my daughter was amused by the term "craptastic" as well. Maybe Jadee will have started a trend. :)

Wendy that is a crapfest! Geesh! Hey I just got some stainless steel HiyaHiya dpns if you need to borrow for a PTO stabbing. ;)I've never used stainless steel dpns. So far I like them but not sure how I'll like them if I knit for more than 30 minutes with them. I imagine they might hurt your hands if you knit for long periods of time all at once.
Sheila, Oh my gosh, poor Zachary. He is a blessing for sure! He's been through so much. My husband is a transplant patient (kidney/pancreas) so I know a bit about what you have gone through. I hope they can figure out what is wrong with his fingers now. Geesh, he's been through enough already.

Suezee, good luck witht he needles, I prefer stainless steel needles myself. I think they warm to your hands and might not be so bad.

Good luck to you and your husband, it really is a never ending battle of lab work and balancing act.
