Episode 7 - Podcastus Interruptus

AAAAAAGGHHH! I don't know why the title screen didn't save. And it was all fancy, too. ANYWAY, this is the show with all the interruptions! Featuring our usual project chat and Sheila's review of the book "Knit Your Own Dog."

Show Notes:

On The Dance Card:

Wendy is faithfully knitting on the Traveling Sweater by A. Karen Alfke with Valley Yarns Northfield, DK, on US 3/3.25 mm needles.  She is also trying to crochet the Roly Poly Cat, but had the wrong size yarn. Summer Ends, still on the needles but has not been worked on.
Sheila cast on for the Mountain Ash Shawl, by Kate Gagnon with Debby Bliss Alpaca Silk DK on US 6/4 mm needles.   She also cast on for a Pug from Knit Your Own Dog (not for the faint of heart.) by Joanna Osborne and Sally Muir using worsted weight Knit Picks Bare on Size US 5/3.75 mm needles.  I still have my Granny Square on the hooks using worsted weight acrylic, slow progress.

Rate Your Date:

   Wendy has nothing for you.
Sheila finished and felted her Felted Clogs by Bev Galeskas using Cascade 220 scraps on US 13/9 mm needles.  Great pattern for the whole family well worth the money.

Future Dates:

Wendy is looking for patterns to bring on her trip.  Maybe Mad Color Weave socks by Christine Lorin or the Ginko Shoulderette shawl by Maggie Magali.  Wendy is also going to crochet a VooDoo doll for Sean of the His and Hers Podcast to help the Bruins win the Playoffs. (Go Bruins!!!)
Sheila has no set future dates, needs to work on teacher gifts for end of year gifts.

Crushes and Heartbreaks:

Wendy talks about her crush on the Vera Bradley bags and shows of her set, and her "hiking" backpack.
Sheila is working on a hat design.  To help people who have problems wearing hats that make them look like they have a male gender on their head.

Baubles and Bling:

Wendy shows of some bags from our friend Margaret, Martheme on Ravelry, and a felted kit and her designs.
    Sheila has nothing, sorry.

Gossip and Innuendo:

Wendy talks more about her trip to Germany, she got approval from Wollmeise that she can video in the store. Wishing her Aunt Sally good health.
Sheila talks about Dramatic Knits auction for his Japanese Garden Shawl as of Wednesday has raised $114.00 for the Red Cross relief.  Two new shows Knit Bytes with Becca and Dragon Fly Soars with Vicki.

Our Blog, knit1hearttoo.blogspot.com or email is knit1heartto@gmail.com, we now have a Ravelry Group, Knit1Hearttoo.   Please leave a commit on Itunes and at least a star rating on all podcast you listen to or watch.

Knit With Heart until next week.

I so admire anyone who can knit a sweater. I am allergic swatches so I don't think I'll ever knit a sweater. ;)heh!

Suezeeknits, honestly, I NEVER swatch, unless you count knitting the first couple of inches of the actual sweater and measuring them a "swatch!" Sweater knitting is FUN! Do it, do it!
