Episode 10 - Together Again

Wendy's return from Germany, with lots of Wollmeise, including the contest winner's skein. The usual project chat, including the completed Traveling Sweater and discussion of our current KAL.

Show Notes:

On the Dance Card:
Wendy has Mad Color Weave socks by Tina Lorin, on the needles using her Hanks of Yarn in the Sock Monkey colorway on US 2/2.75 mm.  The Roly Poly Cat by Nina Shimizu on US E hook, did not receive any love this week.  Summers End Sweater by Heather Sapp in Dream in Color Classy in the Cool Fire Color way on US 8 / 5 mm needles, also received no love this week.

Sheila is still knitting on her Mountain Ash Shawl by Kate Gagnon Osborn on US 6 / 4 mm needles with Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk.  Sheila jumped on the bandwagon with Wendy Johnonson's Summer Mystery Shawlette with Sundara Sock yarn in the Tuscon Rose over Lemon colorway with US 6 /4 mm needles.   She also made some great progress on her Two at a Time socks toe up with short row heel on US 1 / 2.25 mm in Louet Gems Fingering.

Rate Your Date:
Wendy happily finished her Traveling Sweater by A. Karen Alfke in Valley Yarns Northfield DK on US 3 / 3.25 mm.  She loved the pattern and would like to do it again in a more Spring like yarn.   She also finished her Ginko Shoulderette Shawl by Maggie Magali of Fragrant Heart Creations using String Theory Caper sock yarn in Essence colorway on US 5 / 3.75 mm.  Very Easy pattern and liked the results.  Will show it blocked next week.

Sheila finally finished her Knit Your Own Dog, Joanna Osborne and Sally Muir, Pug, by  using Knit Picks Bare on US 5 . 3.75 mm.  The pattern was very easy to knit, horrible for directions on putting it together.  Not doing this again, great coffee table book.  She also finished another Preemie Hat by Karen Evertt on US 1.5 / 2.5 mm needels using scrap yarn that my son dyed in reds and oranges from Knit Picks Bare essential fingering.

Future Dates:
Wendy is planning on doing a VooDoo doll for Sean of His and Hers podcast to have for this coming weekend.

Sheila wants to cast on Everything!!!  Most likely do some more Socks, maybe using the same yarn but different pattern for each sock.  She had heard some one doing that somewhere.

Crsushes and Heartbreaks:
Wendy has a crush on the Addi Lace Clicks, interchangable needles.  She will knit on them more and review in a later podcast.
Sheila is heartbreaking over her sons continued medical issues, newest issue, is Pseudogout.  He has been in some serious pain and was home all week.   Crush is she might be tempted to start spinning on a spindel, we shawl see.

Baubles and Bling:
Sheila first for obvious reasons.  Sheila acquried some sKnitches yarn in her Syncopation Self Striping Sock, in the Zoot Suit colorway.   I really like her yarn.
Wendy had a boatload of Wollmeise to show as well as the winner of the I heart Wollmeise contest colorway in Ballerina.

Gossip and Innuendo:
Wendy had a lot to talk about her trip to Germany and please watch her seperate video on her tour of the Wollmeise shop.
We both are looking forward to the Mass Sheep and Wool Festival, hoping to meet up with Sean and Mellisa of His and Hers Video Podcast.

We can be reached via email at knit1hearttoo@gmail.com, we are on Plurk as knit1hearttoo (we share the account.)  Join our Ravelry group, Knit1Hearttoo.

Until next week, Knit With Heart.  Thank you for watching.

Wendy,

the WM lace you bought for yourself is a "Versuchskaninchen" - guinea pig (as in poor animal in a lab), so it doesn't have a "real" colour name.
